Agave Species: Espadín (Angustifolia Haw)
Mezcal Category: Joven
Average Age of the Plant: 7 years
Alcohol Content: 46%
Origin: San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca
Tasting Notes: Light straw color and medium-high shine, with great body due to its high alcohol content; a very well made mezcal that recalls the distinctive aromas and flavors of the espadín agave: notes of roasted maguey, smoke, spicy clove and cinnamon aromas, ripe fruits – especially manila mango – and hints of mulato pepper (dry and smoked). Ideal pairing for red meats, grilled, tuna, ripened cheeses, and black mole.
